Aramco tenders Uthmaniyah Gas Treatment Units

Uthmaniyah aramcoSaudi Aramco has issued a tender to develop its gas treatment units at Uthmaniyah. As part of the project, ethane, propane and other natural gas liquids (NGL) will be extracted from 1.4 bn standard cubic feet per day (scfd) of sales gas. By extracting the residual ethane from the processed fuel gas stream, high-value feedstock can be generated for the petrochemical industry, instead of burning it with the fuel gas. The project is estimated to cost between $500mn and $1bn and is due for completion by Q3 2019. Bidding is due to close by the end of May.
